Maple 16.02是一个补丁包程序，现有Maple 16用户无需新的激活码即可升级到16.02版本。升级包括：
支持新的操作系统：
o Windows 8, 8 Pro, Windows 8 Enterprise,
o Macintosh OS X 10.8
接口：
o MATLAB2012
o Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 (using these instructions)
Physics函数包：
o Algebraic manipulations of dot products of quantum operators (possibly tensorial) and eigenstates
o Algebraic simplification taking into account commutation/anticommutation rules
o Simplification of tensor products involving the sum rule for repeated indices in the presence of symmetric and antisymmetric tensors
o Dagger, Commutator, AntiCommutator, Bracket
o Normal forms of products of quantum operators
o Saving and loading Physics setup across sessions
o Allowing selective partial clearing of setting using Setup(clear, <…>)
o Copying and pasting of textbook display (typesetting = extended)
o Performance

改进内存管理和垃圾回收机制。
界面：
改进数据表和自定义面板的显示。
