1. SEEK FOR GLOBAL AND REGIONAL INSIGHTS TO SUPPORT INNOVATION PROJECTS
Expertise in understanding global/ regional consumer needs to deliver insights into upstream projects
Unlock consumer and technical insights of anti-aging and skin lightening R&D programs.
Manage and interface with the CTI Network to capture regional needs to guarantee that they are reflected on the global consumer testing plans.
Manage multiple Global projects that include coordination with cross-functional teams both in the Global and Regional groups.
Manage complex consumer test plans that span across different product formats in Face Care that will be offered in various regions.
Identify insights that will drive new product & pack opportunities for new projects portfolio, based on analysis of trends, consumer needs, new technology impacts on consumers initiating & designing understanding plans etc
Lead Category strategic understanding plans that will feed into the Global Face Care Design projects.
Product Benchmarking and Gap opportunities analysis vs. competition to guide portfolio management.
2. GLOBAL ROLE PROFILE
Design, manage, co-ordinate and drive all CTI work plan within Product Design (Formula and Packaging) to support the Category Long Term plans for Face Care including timings and research cost
Analyze consumer test data using a multi-faced statistical approach, drawing out big and relevant consumer insights, trends, etc.
Management of Global CTI budget for Anti-aging and Skin Lightening platforms.
Develop effective communication channels into and out of the Global CTI to provide CTI guidance within project teams and other functional teams.
Ensure that consistency of testing methodologies and best practice alignment within the Global/Regional Skin CTI teams are followed.
Ensure optimal usage of global and regional facilities for testing.
Articulate the Category Sensory program.
3. CTI SKILL AND CAPABILITIES DEVELOPMENT (work with Global & Regional Teams)
Develop a globally recognized hub of expertise within the Shanghai GDC by :
Application of best practice within the category specifically when working on cross-regional research projects
Ensuring skills profile is aligned Globally

Provide technical and practical support to develop consumer research suppliers (non-Global suppliers that will support small scale testing/ Quals, CLTs etc),
Act as core member of the key functional CTI networks – ie laundry and skin global-regional category networks & the Greater China East Asia regional networks

Job Requirement:
Relevant Experience
Education ideally masters degree in psychology, nutrition science, sensory science, market research, biology science, statistics, and chemistry, any of the Physical Sciences, Marketing or Business.
4-6 years experience and substantial track record in a Category R&D function, including at least 2 years in a CI Community (CMI/CTI/CSI).
Sensory and Consumer understanding knowledge: mastering skills in the use of principles, concepts and techniques for sensory evaluation & consumer testing (quall and quant).
