标题: 2014 CAMCM 评注 A题
每当有建模赛题出来,都忍不住要看一看,想一想。
记得还是参赛队员的时候,每次拿到赛题,都恨不得要沐浴更衣,养精蓄锐,气沉丹田,再集中全部的精力,把题目的每个字,每个词变成画面,把每个句子连成场景,把整个题目形成一套系统映在脑海里,舍不得忘记。遂成今日解题之大法,虽不再有资格参赛,仍然希望把所思所得分享给大家,给广大建模爱好者们,希望数模助人生一臂之力!

2014 CAMCM
Problem A: Blowing a Whistle(bk1)
A whistle is a small device that producessound when air is forced through an opening.(imp1: mechanism) Their loud,attention-getting blast makes whistles essential for police officers and sportsreferees(bk2: application). They can save liveswhen used by lifeguards, lost campers, or crime victims.(bk2') Professional whistles need to produce high soundintensities.(imp2) How to design a loudest whistlein the world(spm1)?
Analysis:
This is a directly optimization problemboth roughly clearly presented. Rough because several element of a optimizationhas not been defined rigorously and clear for the reason that the background isso pure that waiting for us to merrily solve it.
As the information excavation above, the 4elements of the optimization problem are defined below:
a. Decision variable: All the attributes ofa whistle that can be quantified and affect the sound, such as the shape, size,material (including density, elasticity), choose the most significant part as thedecision variable and others may make no sense.
b. Object: loudest sound is the mostimportant one and also you can add with beauty, durability, tone etc, as theauxiliary object to make a multi-object problem.
c. Objective Function: As I have concludedthese days, the objective function of physical problems uses mechanism and theone of the social science uses the data. Clearly, we can use the acoustics inphysics, maybe include fluid mechanics to trace the air from the opening to theend to deduce how the sound made. In this sense, the link between the objectand the decision variable can be written beautifully in your mind and thepaper.
d. parameters: all the factors that mayaffect the result of the sound but cannot be controlled around the whistle areparameters. The temperature, humidity, skill of the person etc. are all thefactors to consider. All of these are the element to execute sensitivityanalysis. (With other assumptions, we conduct robustness analysis.)
Finally, of course, is to attain the bestsolution of the objective function in the feasible region.
